First Warsaw Golf&Country Club is located in Rajszew near Jablonna 25 km from the centre of Warsaw. This is the only golf club in Central Poland. Golf course has an area of 63 hectars and lies in a pictouresque landscape of Wisla river valley with it's natural lakes and groups of old trees. Each of the 18 holes has it's individual character and different difficulty what enables all players to have an exciting round of golf. The Driving range is located near the Club house. There you have the opportunity to practice and learning under care of Polish PGA Professionals. Club was host of three European Challenge Tour events: Polish Open 96 and Warsaw Golf open 98,99

Golf Academy

Lessons

Whether you are a good player, a beginner, or a professional, taking golf lessons is the fastest way to improving your game. There is no point hitting hundreds of balls on the driving range if you are practicing the wrong things. Especially when you are just starting to play golf, its important to learn the correct way the first time. Our fully qualified PGA Golf professionals will help you achieve this. A 10 lesson package is offered by all our teaching professionals. For beginners this is perfect as it allows time to cover all the different parts of the golf game (grip, stance, setup, full swing, chipping, putting, bunkers and some basic rules and etiquette) For an experienced player this 10 lesson package is also relevant, regular checks can be made on the golf swing and work can be done improving the individuals weaker parts of his/her game.

Group lessons

Group Lessons are organized throughout the season, mainly for beginners and juniors. The Beginner Group is for up to 8 people and is normally a 12 hour course, this is a cheaper alternative than taking individual lessons. You don’t have to find 8 people to start this course, the golf academy puts these groups together. Smaller or larger groups are also possible if you wish.

Juniors

Junior lessons are available at a discounted rate (100pln for an individual 45 minutes). Every Sunday morning also we hold junior clinics for children between 6 and 17 years of age. This is for 2 hours (one hour training and one hour on the golf course) Cost is 40 pln per junior.

Company events / training

It’s possible to organise company events/training, this is a great way to entertain your clients/employees. There are two possibilities on how to do this:

1. Company Golf Clinic – This is normally 2 or 3 hours of training from 10 – 100 people. Guests will be instructed and will have fun learning the 3 main areas of golf (fullswing, chipping and putting). Longest Drive and/or Putting Competitions can be arranged after the golf clinic, these always bring a few laughs. Catering and drinks can also be arranged.
2. Company Training – For a group of Company clients or employees (5 to 10 people) a special program can be setup on learning to play golf. Generally 6 – 10 times during the season, flexible to meet your companies needs.

Greencards

A ‘Greencard’ entitles an individual permission to play on 99% of golf course in the world. A lot of golf courses abroad require a ‘Greencard’ or handicap card to be shown before they allow you on to the golf course. To get this ‘Greencard’ individuals are required to do a greencard test which is half theory and half practical. Basically it shows you have an understanding of the rules and etiquette of golf and you also can play at a satisfactory level. Our Teaching professionals can do this Greencard Test with you.

Facilities:

1. Driving range - the area where people take lessons, train and warm up before going to play on the golf course. The driving range has exceptional quality balls and a roof so practice or lessons can be done in any weather.
2. Putting green - there are 2 practice putting greens. One outside the clubhouse next to the restaurant and the other next to the first tee.
3. Chipping green and practise bunker - there is a chipping green and a practice bunker located just past the practice putting green near the first tee. Players are required to use their own balls when practicing chipping and bunker play, not driving range balls.

Beginner Classes, Company Group Training and Lady Beginner Groups also held throughout the year.

How to play?

Reservation

Reservation of the tee-off time is advised only for weekends and public holidays. It is possible to make reservation 7 days in advance.

Electric cars

It is possible to rent electric cart. One golf cart carry 2 players with equipment. Booking possible at the reception desk.

Club facilities

Players can use locker room with showers and relax in two lounges.

Each player not being a member of the Club should has at least Permission to Play Card or valid handicap card before entering the course. Permission to Play Card entitles to play at our course only. It might be obtained after passing test of rules, etiquette and playing ability at our Golf Academy.

Registration

All players before entering the course must register at the reception desk not later than 15 min. before start time.

Dress Code

Play in T-shirt, jeans are not allowed. Players must wear polo collar shirts. Sport type shoes and metal spikes are allowed.

Starter

All players must show up on the starting tee 5-min before designated starting time and show starter starting slip.

Marshal

Is entitled to check relevant green-fee ticket or membership card, speed up slow groups. He also has a right to remove players from the course when finding them breaking rules of play.

Local rules:

• All natural roadways are integral part of the course- no free drop. Graveled roadways free drop one club length not nearer to the hole.
• Free drop - one club length not nearer to the hole:
  • all trees and shrubs below than two club lengths,
  • all hole direction markers, hole information boards, benches,
  • all sprinkler heads.
• It is permitted to remove stones from bunkers.

Stakes description:

• yellow-black - 150m to the center of the green,
• white-red - 100m to the center of the green,
• red, yellow - water hazard,
• white - out of bounds,
• whit-blue - ground under repair.

Other

• Only registered players are allowed on the course. Golfers must register before teeing off.
• If you cannot keep your pace on the course you must wave the following players on.
• Two balls have privilege before 3 and 4 balls. Single players have no standing privileges on the golf course.
• Do not play until players ahead are out of your range.
• It is not allowed to remove D.R balls from the Driving range. Play on the course with practice balls is strictly forbidden.
• No practicing on the course.
• Proper dress must be worn.
• Please replace divots, fix ball marks on the greens and smooth out bunkers.
• Electric carts or trolleys are not allowed on the tees or near the lakes and should be parked at least 10 meters from the greens.
• Each player must use his own set of clubs.
• Maximum number of players in a group 4.
• Players not complying with these rules will be asked to leave the course.

Restaurant

The Golf Club Restaurant is a great place for meetings, not only for Club Members but also for people who do not play golf. The menu is composed with imagination and carefulness to satisfy the taste of all of our Guest. A various selection of dishes served by our restaurant is the great combination of Polish, Italian, American and Asiatic tradition of cooking.

For the 2003/2004 season, the Golf Club Restaurant offers well-known and very popular dishes such as egg benedict for breakfast , pepper steak or sola fish with asparagus and great variety of all types of pastas for lunch , also home made recipe tiramisu or apple cake with vanilla ice-cream for dessert.

For Guest which want to have something quick before golf round we propose variety of lunch sandwiches.

Professional staff at our Golf Club Drink Bar will certainly satisfy the expectation of each particular coneser of drinks and cocktails.

We specialize in organising family parties and business meetings as well as very popular BBQ. Our offer in organising these types of events is unlimited. Well - qualified personnel always try to realize each idea and suggestion of our Guests. The Golf Club Restaurant can allocate up to 80 people inside and 100 outside at the Restaurant terrace, where our Guests may enjoy an extraordinary view of the beautiful Golf Course landscaping with plenty of small hills, trees and lakes. We also organise full service for the conferences , scientific conferences and company's meetings.

Subtle charm of its location as well as professional service will certainly make each party organised in the Golf Club Restaurant an unforgettable and an extraordinary event.
