The large Djerba La Douce Village consists of bungalow and 2 hotels. The bungalows are grouped around patios and all have a terrace. The single-storey "Aziza" hotel (with no lift) faces the sea and the garden. The "Calypso" hotel is a 2-storey building, with a mezzaine and no lift, facing the garden.

653 air-conditioned rooms are divided between a hotel complex (350 rooms) and bungalows (303 rooms). All rooms have telephone, television, personal safe, shower room, hairdryer and air-conditioned.

Club Room ("Aziza", Sea View) A colourful décor and central location, facing the beach and near all the watersports... The main bar This bar, set in the heart of the Village's entertainment zone, between the amphitheatre, the restaurant and one of the swimming pools, is an absolute must, by day and by night.

The Calypso bar In a calmer part of the Village, this bar, with its typically Tunisian décor, is open all day long.

The night club bar From 11.30 pm onwards, this bar is open for an evening of fast and furious rhythms...

La Gargoulette This restaurant with specialities from Tunisia is open only in the evening, and you must book in advance, for delicious Oriental meals in an intimate and warm ambience.

La Douce International buffets served in this large restaurant, which is divided into 2 sections: the inside, with its magnificent local earthenware decoration, and the outside, in the shade of the arbours.

Cultural & Adventure Tours (extra cost)

Island tour Discover the master potters of Guellala. Visit the Laghriba synagogue. Finally, enjoy 2 hours of free time in the island's charming capital, Houmt-Souk, which has retained all its authenticity in the maze of its streets, souks and little squares.

The other side of Djerba Away from the tourist traps, travel through Djerba's countryside, lined with orchards, olive groves and palm groves, dotted with traditional Menzel-style villages. Visit an old mosque dating back over two centuries, and discover the fishing port of Ajim, along with a multitude of amazingly beautiful small deserted beaches. In a traditional Djerban home, savour some famous mint tea. (no stop for shopping during this excursion).

Zarzis market Follow the Roman road to get to Zarzis, a little port lined with date trees, olive trees and beautiful beaches. Traditional market with fruit and vegetables, spices and animals. An opportunity to do some shopping. The real Tunisia.

Chenini and Tataouine Made famous by its military penal colony, Tataouine, in its Far West setting, is now a peaceful small town with a tranquil charm, enlivened by its small souk. At Chenini, you will discover the amazing spectacle of houses hollowed out in the jagged faces of a mountain amphitheatre. After lunch, you will visit the fortified granaries of Ksar-Hadada with its magnificent ghorfas grouped in dozens like honeycombs.

Matmata tour Cross the Jeffara alluvial plain and its stone desert to the rocky plateau of Dahar with its impressive panoramas. Discover the way of life of the Amazigh Berbers and their legendary habitat. The troglodytic houses and their vast craters give the Matmata landscape a strange, almost surrealistic character. Let your dromedary guide you through this unusual setting chosen to shoot "Star Wars"...

Tozeur Discover South Tunisia and its 3 deserts...made up of sand, salt and stones. At Gabes, visit the Jara market. At Douz, a camel train will transport you to the first dunes of the Great Sahara. Travel through Chott El-Jerid, mirage country... Visit Red Tozeur, nested in its vast palm grove, and its remarkable museum, Dar Cheraït. Overnight stay at a hotel. On day two, discover the Berber world with the amazing village of Tamezret and the troglodytic houses in Matmata, not to be missed.

Ksar Ghilaine A first day through the Reg (stone desert). Stop between the superb ghorfas of Ksar-Hallouf and a picnic before you plunge into the majestic Sahara. At Aïn Essbat, you are promised an unforgettable night in a Bedouin camp in the heart of the dunes of the Great erg and the spectacle of dawn, just like the setting... awe-inspiring. On the second day, discover the Berber world with the amazing village of Tamezret and the troglodytic houses of the not-to-be-missed village of Matmata.
